DACA & Dreamers
Resources for Deferred Action renewal, Advance Parole, and education access.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) provides temporary relief from deportation and work authorization for eligible individuals who came to the United States as children.
Current DACA Status
DACA is currently subject to litigation. As of the latest updates, USCIS is accepting renewals but generally cannot grant new initial applications. The situation changes frequently; always check the USCIS website for the latest alerts.
Renewals
DACA recipients should renew their status every two years. It is recommended to submit your renewal 120–150 days before your current DACA expires.
Form I-821D (DACA) →Advance Parole
DACA recipients may be able to travel abroad for educational, employment, or humanitarian reasons using Advance Parole. Traveling without it will likely result in losing DACA status.
