Crime Victim Assistance
Compensation, legal rights, and support services for survivors.
You Have Rights
Being a victim of a crime can be traumatic and overwhelming. The U.S. justice system provides specific rights to victims, including the right to be heard in court, the right to restitution, and access to state-funded compensation for medical bills and lost wages.
National Center for Victims of Crime
The VictimConnect Resource Center provides a helpline and online chat to help you find local resources and understand your rights.
